Newcomb-Tulane College Diploma Ceremony

Date: Saturday, May 17, 2014
Time: 3:00 PM
Building: Mercedes-Benz Superdome
Location: other

Full-time undergraduates receiving degrees from the A.B. Freeman School of Business, the School of Liberal Arts, the School of Public Health, and the School of Science & Engineering will be awarded their diplomas at this ceremony.

Students will be asked to return to the Dome no later than 2:30 p.m. For this ceremony, students should enter the Dome at Gate A Ground Level. Students will proceed directly onto the backstage area of the Dome floor to pick up their name cards. There is no student procession for the diploma ceremony; students should wait until staff direct them to take their seats in the student seating area.

Guests for the NTC Diploma Ceremony will enter at Gate C Plaza Level (same entrance as for the Unified ceremony). Seating for guests for the undergraduate ceremony will begin at 2:15 p.m., after the conclusion of the A.B. Freeman graduate diploma ceremony (for Freeman students receiving Master’s degrees). Please allow the Freeman guests to exit before entering the seating area.

Students will be organized by school, but will not be seated alphabetically within each school, so they may sit with their friends during the ceremony. This year, schools will cross the stage in the following order:

School of Science and Engineering

School of Public Health

School of Liberal Arts

A.B. Freeman School of Business

The diploma ceremony is expected to end at approximately 5:00 p.m. Out of respect for your fellow graduates, please stay until the conclusion of the ceremony. Students will pick up their actual diplomas backstage after the ceremony, and diploma distribution usually concludes by 5:30.
