Malaria parasites continue to affect hundreds of millions people worldwide with nearly a million deaths annually. Dr. Kumar and his team have been working on the development of a malaria vaccine that aims to stop malaria transmission at the community level. He will discuss a novel strategy that involves vaccinating people; however the effect is achieved in the mosquitoes and effectively can break the transmission cycle.
