Women were forbidden from trodding the boards during Shakespeare’s lifetime. Can male actors truly play Shakespeare’s ladies? With a nod to Elizabethan staging practices, the Festival and Compleat Stage have enlisted some of New Orleans’ finest male actors to portray a variety of Shakespeare’s most memorable women. Accompanied by music, this is sure to be an illuminating evening. This event is pay-what-you-will at the door, but seating is very limited. Seats can be reserved online for $3.00.
