This year’s Take Back the Night event, organized in conjunction with Tulane, Loyola, and Dillard Universities, is a call to raise awareness about sexual assault and gender-based violence in the New Orleans community. Last year over 500 students and community members participated in the event, and we’re hoping to have even more this year! The event begins on Loyola’s “horseshoe” drive on St. Charles Ave., followed by a march to the Qatar Ballroom in the Lavin-Bernick Center on Tulane’s campus for the open mic speak out and a concluding interfaith service.
Leading up to the event, fundraisers will be held for local organizations that support survivors of gender-based violence. to find out more or to get involved, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
