The O Multicultural Leadership Retreat

This annual retreat in Biloxi, Mississippi September 13-15, 2013 brings together student leaders from a diverse array of organizations to build relationships across cultural differences and form a purposeful and sustainable leadership community whose members are committed to one another.  Through interactive activities students, faculty and staff explore cultural identity, share experiences and openly and honestly discuss the meaning of leadership within the context of a diverse society.  For more information contact: danders7@tulane.edu.  All Tulane University students belong to a multitude of different cultures including areas of ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, socio-economic status and many more. We are looking for a group of people that come from many different cultural backgrounds, including those in the "majority." Every Tulane student is eligible to apply and is highly encouraged to do so. Where and When: The retreat will take place at the Seashore United Methodist Assembly Retreat Center Transportation and Food: Group transportation will be provided to the retreat center at 3 p.m. Friday and will return to campus at noon Sunday. All participants are expected to ride in the vans and participate in the entire two-day session. Meals will be provided. Cost: The cost of the retreat is FREE! However, we do ask that you submit a $20 deposit to reserve your space which will be returned upon check-in the day of the retreat. How do I register: Registration is now open. Once you have registered expect an email confirmation the first week of the academic year. The $20 deposit will be do by August 30 to reserve your spot, deposits can be submitted to Desirée Anderson in the Lavin-Bernick Center (LBC) suite G04 on the bottom floor. Deposits will be returned once you check in the day of the departure for the retreat. Hosted by the O (The Office of Multicultural Affairs & the Office for Gender & Sexual Diversity).
