Lecture/Recital

featuring Orlando Cela, flutist

Flutist Orlando Cela will be giving a scientifically oriented talk encompassing the basic principles of sound production in the flute, leading into explanations of notation, idiomatic techniques , etc. The lecture will progress historically with examples from the Baroque through today, enlightening the audiences about the technologies of each period, and ending with some of the latest extended techniques being able to be produced on the flute.
