Vicki Mayer is Editor of Television & New Media, Director of MediaNOLA, and Professor of Communication at Tulane University; Jaelle Scheuermann is User Services Analyst III at the Newcomb College Institute.
Discussion will focus on the importance of collaborative learning to the preservation process through the development of an interactive site for the writing and rewriting of local cultural histories and will be framed by the presenters’ knowledge of technology, community media, public history, and their own experiences at Tulane. Professor Mayer and Ms. Scheuermann encourage audience input as everyone moves forward into the future -- bring along your tablet or laptop!
