Dr. Theall’s research focuses on the etiology and reduction of health inequalities among women and children, with a particular focus on social determinants of inequalities.  One aspect of her work is aimed at understanding of the pathways through which stress, defined at multiple socioecological levels—community, interpersonal, individual—and at different early and sensitive periods is biologically and behaviorally embedded to influence health across the life course.
