As a legendary bandleader, educator, 2011 NEA Jazz Master, and patriarch of one of New Orleans' most renowned musical families, Ellis Marsalis is regarded as the premier modern jazz pianist in the city. At this special concert, presented annually by the Lagniappe Series of the Newcomb-Tulane College Office of Cocurricular Programs, Marsalis will perform with his group and participate in an audience Q&A session following the show.
