A personal journey about slavery and the position of women. How an opera took shape from the original idea, to the libretto, to composing the finished work to be performed at Tulane on April 27, 2013, in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation.
Odaline de la Martinez is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music as well as Artistic Director, Lontano and Lontano Records. She graduated from Newcomb College in 1972.
