Michelle Haberland is associate professor of history at Georgia Southern University whose research interests include labor history, southern history, gender/women’s history, and African American history. She has written about the organizing rights of women garment workers in the US South. Janet Allured is professor of history at McNeese State University whose research interests include women’s history, the New South, and Louisiana history. She has written about female stereotypes and social class in the US South.
