Peter Cooley will discuss, with readings from his own work, the presence of the often-ordinary-sacred in his poems, from an account of his being mugged at Lee Circle to the appearance of a Christ-like figure on Canal Street to the azaleas blooming on St. Charles one spring morning.
Peter Cooley is professor of English and director of the creative writing program at Tulane.
