Men who have sex with men (MSM) and transgender women (TW) experience unique barriers to health services due to social marginalization related to their gender identity and sexual orientation. Evidence of the detrimental effects of such stigma can elucidate new opportunities for reducing barriers to health services for MSM and TW.
Katherine Andrinopoulos is an assistant professor at the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Talk presented by Global Health Leaders Across Multicultural Women (GLAM), an undergraduate student organization.
