The Emeritus Club - Keeping members of 50 year and earlier classes, and Emeritus faculty, in touch with each other and the University, offering a forum for educational and social activities, a contact for travel and services, support for other Tulane programs, and rendering all possible assistance to the University in maintaining its excellence.

Emeritus Club Events:

• Thursday, July 19, 8-9am – Emeritus Club Coffee with Coach “CJ” Johnson. Location: Alumni House. Open to public, but RSVP required. (Flyer)

• Thursday, November 1, 10am-12noon – Emeritus Club Induction and Awards. Location: Alumni House; Members of Class of 1962 and higher; Open to public, but RSVP required.

• Thursday, November 1, 3:30-5pm – Emeritus Alumni President’s Reception Honoring the Classes of 1962, 1957, 1952, 1947, 1942 & 1937; By invitation.

Come “Back to School” with Tulane’s School of Continuing Studies!

TUITION DISCOUNT - Tulane's School of Continuing Studies (SCS) offers 1/2 price tuition to alumni over 60.  

LOCATIONS - The SOCS offers courses uptown, downtown, at Elmwood, in Biloxi (MS), and online.

PROCEDURE -

• To view a list of courses, go to: http://classschedule.tulane.edu/ If you want philosophy classes, choose that area in the drop-down menu then click “Continuing Studies Only” at the bottom to activate the search.  Browse the selection of courses.

• Go online to the School of Continuing Studies website http://www.scs.tulane.edu/ to fill out online application.  

• Once you have submitted the online application and paid the $25 application fee, you will be admitted to the School of Continuing Studies. You will receive a Tulane email address and password. More information will come to this email address about registering for classes.

• Register for the classes you want by following the instructions you receive at your Tulane email address.

OUTSTANDING ALUMNA/ALUMNUS OF THE 50 YEAR CLASS AWARD: Reviews class-mates', deans' and staff nominations and class lists, requests research write-ups for most highly qualified nominees. Meets and offers a recommendation to the Board regarding the best candidate. Orders and presents recipient with a plaque at the Commencement luncheon.
