The Investment Office oversees investment of the university's Endowment, the permanent capital of Tulane University, which provides funding to support the academic mission of the institution for current and future students.
Controller's Office
The Controller's Office provides timely, accurate, and meaningful financial information and advice to the university community to support management decision-making, and to demonstrate fiscal responsibility, accountability, and regulatory compliance to maintain the financial stability necessary to achieve the University's mission as a whole.
The Budget Office prepares, distributes, and monitors the university's fiscal year, and decentralized operating budget to assure compliance with the policies and procedures set forth by the Senior Officers and as approved by the Board of Administrators. As an active University finance team member, we cooperatively and collaboratively participate in shaping policy and performance for the University's financial and business management.
Internal Audit provides independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve university operations. The Internal Audit Department helps the university accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.
Facilities Management and Campus Development
The office of Facilities Management and Campus Development provides university-wide strategic leadership, coordination, and administrative oversight to campus facilities planning and the engineering, design, and construction, and the efficient operation of the physical facilities on all campuses and off-campus locations. Operations include a wide array of services including maintenance, repairs, renewal, and replacement, provision of utilities and energy management, grounds keeping, custodial, fire and life safety, and recycling. Facilities planning includes comprehensive campus master planning and annual capital planning consistent with the university's strategic plan and mission statement. The office is also responsible for management of the university's real estate holdings.
Police Department
TUPD Uptown is committed to establishing and maintaining a safe campus for its students, faculty, staff, and visitors. We are dedicated to providing the highest quality police services to protect the University and its assets. These services and programs are consistent with the values of the University and supportive of the Department's commitment to teamwork, integrity, and excellence.
TUPD – Health Sciences: The TUHSC Police Department maintains social order within prescribed ethical and constitutional limits while providing professional law enforcement services to its customers. To attain this, TUHSC Police enforces the law in a fair and impartial manner recognizing the statutory and judicial limitations of police authority and the constitutional rights of all persons. TUHSC Police strive to provide a secure environment in which the healing and educational processes may take place, and recognize that no campus law enforcement agency can operate at its maximum potential without the supportive input from the people it serves. TUHSC Police actively solicit and encourage the cooperation and support of all persons of the Tulane University Health Sciences Center community to decrease the opportunity for crime and to facilitate the maximum use of its resources.
