Blackboard Transact- Card Services System Update

Blackboard Transact, which regulates many Splash Card swipe services, will be serviced Monday night, May 20, from 10:00 pm to 11:00 pm.  

During this time, the following features will be unavailable:

• Nola Bucks card swipe at off campus locations
• Card deposits within Gibson Online
  

Other systems will run in offline mode, with users having the same  privileges as before the upgrade and should not affect a noticeable change:

• All door swipe access
• All vending machines
  

Printing services: Pharos printers will continue to accept print requests and charges will be cached and reconciled when the upgrade is complete.

If any irregularities are noticed during the upgrade or afterwards, please call the Card Services Helpline (504) 481-2908

Network Upgrades Early Monday Morning

There will be a brief network outage Monday, May 20 during the service window of 7:00 am and 7:30 am. 

Data Center Upgrade

Sunday, January 13 from 6:00 am to 7:00 am there will be maintenance at the Data Center. Switches will reboot after firmware upgrade, so all servers connected to ToR switches will lose network link during reboot.

Juniper Firewall Maintenance

System maintenance window February 3, 6:00 am to 8:00 am.  All traffic that normally transits the firewall will be momentarily interrupted during this maintenance.

Network Upgrades Affecting JBJ and Deming

Due to network maintenance, Deming and the J. Bennett Johnston Health and Environmental Research Building (JBJ Building) will experience a network outage from 6:00 AM - 9:00 AM Saturday, February 23.  Local contacts have been notified.

Network Changes - Tidewater

There will be network upgrades 9/22 6:00am-8:00am. This is a service affecting maintenance - the network at Tidewater will be unavailable during this change.

Network Upgrades Friday Nov. 16. 10pm

Friday night 11/16 from 10:00pm to 11:00pm there will be a temporary loss of network connectivity in the following buildings:

• Howard-Tilton Memorial Library
• 7000 block of Freret St.
• 1020 Audubon St.

During the upgrade, the following features will be unavailable:

Other systems will run in offline mode, with users having the same  privileges as before the upgrade and should not affect a noticeable change:
