Men to don high heels in fight to end sexual violence

What: Walk a Mile in Her Shoes: The International Men’s March to Stop Rape, Sexual Assault and Gender Violence. The event is designed for men to rally the community to take action to prevent sexual violence. Although the event is open to the entire Tulane University community, organizers believe the involvement of men sends a powerful message in the fight to end domestic violence and sexual assault. They are being asked to wear high heels as a symbolic way to open the conversation about the seriousness of these crimes.


Where: The Lavin-Bernick Quad on Tulane’s Uptown campus.


When: Thursday, April 11, at 5:15 p.m., followed by a celebration of food and music. 


Who: Tulane University’s Center for Wellness & Health Promotion, Student Health Center, Office of Violence Prevention & Support Services and the Division of Student Affairs.
