PIRATE’S ALLEY — A cyclist cruises down the south end of the Lafitte Greenway trail near North Roman Street in the Lafitte Corridor, not far from downtown New Orleans. The greenway, which opened in November, is named for the French-American pirate Jean Lafitte, and includes a 2.6-mile bike and pedestrian path, recreation fields and open green space.
