September 19   Departmental recommendation, one hard copy of entire dossier in binder format, and digital files are due to P&T via SLA Dean’s Office

Promotion to Associate with Tenure & Promotion to Full – Review Timetable

April 9 Candidate submits CV, one-paragraph overview of research area(s) and orientation, short list (no more than 4) of potential reviewers, and short list (2-3) of scholars to avoid (if any) to Department Department begins to solicit its evaluators      
May 1   Department forwards to P&T via SLA Dean's Office the CV, the one-paragraph overview of research area(s) and orientation, the candidate's lists, the list of evaluators the Department has solicited, and those suggested for P&T P&T Committee begins to solicit its evaluators    
May 30     P&T Committee has identified its evaluators    
August 19 Candidate submits eleven copies of the research/
creative dossier (including updated CV, five-year plan, and publications/ works numbered as on the CV) to the Department. Of the eleven copies, two must be in hard copy binder format and two must be in digital format (CDs or DVDs). The other seven copies are for external evaluators
and shall be provided in hard copy format, unless the candidate is notified that digital copies are requested for any number of the Department’s or P&T’s external evaluators; if digital copies are requested, books and other publication materials not suitable for digitization should be submitted as hard copies, numbered as on the CV
Department forwards five copies of the research/ creative dossier to P&T via SLA Dean’s Office:  one in hard copy binder format, one in digital format, and three in hard copy format (or digital format, if requested) for P&T Committee’s external evaluators. If digital copies are requested for the latter, the Department also forwards hard copies of books and other materials not suitable for  digitization      
August 29

Department sends dossier to external evaluators; due date is Oct. 15 P&T sends dossiers to external evaluators; due date is Oct. 31    
October 15 Candidate submits 2 hard copies in binder format of the teaching and service parts of the dossier to the Department, if these were not included on August 19. Candidate also provides a digital copy (CDs or DVDs) of the teaching statement, and the service statement (if any), to Department  Department receives all its evaluations      
October 31     P&T receives all its evaluations    
November 7   Departmental recommendation, all external evaluations with CVs, one hard copy of teaching and service parts of the dossier, and one digital copy of teaching and service statements (if these were not sent earlier) are sent to P&T via SLA Dean’s Office      
February 6     P&T recommendations for promotion to Associate Professor with tenure are due to SLA Dean    
February 27       Tenure Review materials Submitted to Provost  
March 20
    P&T recommendations for promotion to Full Professor are due to SLA Dean    
April 10       Promotion Review materials Submitted to Provost
