For submission with Third-Year Review and Promotion and Tenure dossiers. Non-tenure-track faculty also should use as a guide, as relevant to the position.

PERSONAL DATA: Name/Rank/Department

EDUCATIONAL RECORD: In chronological order by dates, list institutions attended, degrees and major field/research interest. Give title of dissertation and names of dissertation committee members.

TEACHING/PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: In chronological order by dates, list all teaching or other professional appointments by institution, with academic rank.

PUBLICATIONS: In chronological order, list in sections such as below:
1. books
2. articles
3. papers read
4. reviews

Clearly mark all editions and edited books as such and clearly distinguish them from authored books.
Peer-reviewed work should be distinguished from non-peer-reviewed work.
All publications must be collated and numbered if they are to be submitted for review.

EXHIBITIONS, PERFORMANCES, PRODUCTIONS IN THE FINE ARTS: In chronological order by academic year, list title, place date, and professional role in each event.

COURSES TAUGHT AT TULANE: In chronological order by academic year/semester, list each course ID and section number and title. (For semesters in which no teaching occurred, indicate the appropriate reason, such as “Personal Leave,” “Research Leave.”) Identify independent study courses as such; provide the student’s name.

UNIVERSITY/SCHOOL/FACULTY/DEPARTMENT COMMITTEE SERVICE: In chronological order by academic year and/or semester. Service can be categorized in sections by each area (university, school, department, etc.). Also include student advising, identifying the level (undergraduate/graduate) or related degree (PhD, MA, BS, BA, etc.): advising for department/program majors or minors; advising or directing for theses or dissertations, or serving on thesis or dissertation committees (specify student names); etc.

PROFESSIONAL/COMMUNITY/OTHER SERVICE: In chronological order by academic year.

RESEARCH SUPPORT FROM TULANE UNIVERSITY SOURCES/NON-UNIVERSITY SOURCES: In chronological order, indicate year, source, project name/purpose, and amount. Distinguish internal (Tulane) support from external support. Application effort also should be noted; if application was unsuccessful, then indicate “Not Funded” or similar.

HONORS AND AWARDS: In chronological order by academic year. 

OTHER ACTIVITIES: In chronological order, list or describe other major activities which are not included elsewhere in the curriculum vitae.

Candidates may submit updated copies of curriculum vitae and any new materials at any time before a final decision is made.
