Community and School Event Calendar

The Tulane School of Social Work partners with numerous community organizations to offer its students community outreach opportunities along with public lectures and even community education efforts. Below is a listing of upcoming events both at TSSW as well as in the community that focus or address a social need or offer a social service or learning opportunity.

To submit a calendar event, please contact Joseph Halm via e-mail or at (504) 836-3483. The school will run listings as far in advance as they are submitted, and they will be taken down the day after the event. Please provide contact info with your calendar submission. Thanks!

TSSW Diploma Ceremony
Mercedes-Benz Superdome in the Iberville Club Room

The Tulane School of Social Work is very excited to announce that our school’s May Commencement Ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 17 at noon in the Iberville Club Room in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

The School of Social Work diploma ceremony will follow the university’s unified ceremonies that begin at 9 a.m. The school’s graduation ceremony includes students earning a Master of Social Work, Master of Science from the Disaster Resilience Academy or a Ph.D. in Social Work. The social work ceremony is an open event, and seating is filled on a first come, first serve basis. Parking is available at the Superdome for $15, but there will be a free shuttle from the Uptown Campus.
