The Blue Line is a commuting connection between Tulane University’s uptown campus & University Square via Law Road & the Howard-Tilton Library.

Monday to Friday, 7:00AM - 7:00PM

Spring 2015 Schedule- NEW ROUTE BEGINS JANUARY 5

The Blue Line route will change effective January 5, 2015. Law Road will no longer be used and instead Loyola University’s West Road will provide transportation from St. Charles Avenue to Freret Street. Our ridership on the Blue Line has increased and a larger bus is required to run the route. Also, Law Road presents multiple challenges for a large-size bus. We have found that Law Road is too narrow for the bus to safely navigate, and there are also many pedestrians and cyclists making the route a safety hazard.
Here are the key changes to the route:

  • Blue Line will end at 7 p.m. instead of 6:40 p.m.
  • West Road on the Loyola University campus will be the route from St. Charles Avenue to Freret Street
  • The new Pedestrian Gate @ Dinwiddie shuttle stop off West Road is convenient for Gibson, Dinwiddie and Richardson Memorial
  • The new West Road @ Freret Garage shuttle stop is convenient for Flower Hall, Boggs and Stern Hall
  • The new Tulane Law School shuttle stop is also convenient for the Business School and LBC
  • Jones Hall will be serviced by the Blue Line until the Howard Tilton Memorial Library construction is completed in late 2015

While the new route will use West Road on the Loyola campus, its focus is not shifting to Loyola. The new Blue Line route will benefit many riders by accessing more areas on campus and also by improving safety and efficiency on the route.
