Visiting Scientist Program
The TNPRC often hosts visiting scientists from around the country and the world that are interested in some aspect of biomedical research at the institution. This varies from investigators who are actively engaged in a specific research project to veterinarians from other countries wanting to learn about nonhuman primate husbandry and management. The duration of visits varies from a few weeks to two years.
Interested individuals need to have a faculty sponsor at the TNPRC. Visiting scientists are responsible for their own funding, including but not limited to travel costs, housing, living expenses, and transportation. Please note that public transportation is not available in the surrounding area of the Primate Center. In addition, visiting scientists from foreign countries are responsible for obtaining their own visas and maintaining their proper immigration status.
Please see the Faculty Section for a potential faculty host.
