About Graduation

When and where will diploma ceremony be held?
Tulane School of Medicine's Diploma Ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, enter Hall H. The program will start at 2 p.m. and the doors open at 12:00pm.

What time do the doors open?
The doors open at 12:00 p.m. The program starts at 2 p.m.
Students, faculty and hooders arrive by 1 p.m.

Do I need tickets for Graduation?
No, tickets are not required for Graduation.

Can I take pictures at graduation?
Yes, however, we ask that you remain behind the ropes and return to your seat as soon as possible in order to allow other families and friends to see their graduate.

Is there reserved seating?
There is no reserved seating for guests. However, seating is reserved for graduation students, faculty and hooders.

What about attendees in wheelchairs?
Guests with wheelchair needs, please bring your own.  There is a drop off area in front of Hall H at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.  Right inside the center there is an elevator to take you to the New Orleans Theater, mid-house level.  There are designated sections accessible for wheelchairs.

Is there a reception or luncheon following the event?
Once the graduation ceremony is over, there will be a dessert reception to follow.


Will parking be available?
Ample parking is available across from the Convention Center.
