Not long ago, the
New Wave featured a story about
David Mullin, an associate professor of cell and molecular biology at Tulane University, who developed a groundbreaking method of using animal feces to produce an alternative to gasoline.
While a patent is pending on his successful
process of turning cellulosic materials into butanol, Mullin is lending his support to a group of young filmmakers who shared his story with the world in a documentary titled “A Culture of Renewal.”
The documentary is a semifinalist in the
Focus Forward Filmmaker Competition where the grand prize is $100,000.
After viewing the film, be sure to cast your vote in the top right corner of the video player by pressing the vote button.
