Sizzler

Qi Li, Siyuan Jiang and Xili Liang hold on for dear life as the "Sizzler" twists them through the evening air on Friday (Nov. 2). A carnival, complete with thrill rides, carny food and games, sprouted up on the uptown campus during Tulane Homecoming and Family Weekend. Li is a doctoral student studying geology and Jiang and Liang are pursuing graduate degrees in accounting.

Remix II

Tulane first-year student Claire Clay, right, may not be grooving on the "Remix II" as much as her younger sister, Elise.

Candy apples

From left, students Paul Pennoyer, Katie McCluskey, Becca Weisel and Jimmy Skipton sample that sticky staple of all carnivals: candy apples.

Hoop dreams

Hoop dreams: Jordan Boretz, his younger brother, Bryan, and Justin Taffet take aim during a mini-basketball shootout. The older Boretz and Taffet are Tulane students; all three are from New Jersey.
