The sun’s rays are not enough to melt ice on camellias along Newcomb Circle on the Tulane University uptown campus. A frigid blast of arctic air had New Orleans temperatures in the 20s early Tuesday morning (Jan. 7). Below freezing temperatures will continue through Wednesday, with spring-like weather projected by the weekend.
