Date: Thursday, July 24, 2014
Time: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM

The theme of the Cultural Day is RHYTHMS OF AFRICA. The event is a series of movement that reveals layers of beautiful African Cultures. It starts with an exhibition of various African arts and crafts, food, music and organizations of all the twenty-five Washington Fellows.  This is then followed by the major presentation of the day, which is a total theater performance also titled Rhythms of Africa. It tells a story of the birth, growth, struggles, and proliferation of Africa personified.
