Club Leadership with Curtis Johnson (CJ), coach of the Green Wave football team.
Welcome to the Tulane Alumni Club of South Florida’s page. We are an active alumni group serving Broward and Miami-Dade counties. We host a variety of different events, from monthly business networking dinners to airboat tours, trapeze lessons, Saints viewing parties, happy hours, nights out at sporting events, crawfish boils and more. We have a reputation of offering exciting events and are continually doing things that connect us to Tulane, New Orleans and the South Florida community.
There are over 7,000 alumni in Florida, with about 2,000 residing in South Florida. We are one of the largest and most active organizations within the Tulane Alumni Association (TAA) family having won the Green Wave Award for outstanding club in 2011 and the Tidal Wave Award for most outstanding club in 2012.
Our club is a constituent member of the Tulane Alumni Association (TAA). Founded in 1898, the TAA provides a forum for meaningful involvement and interaction among the university’s nearly 115,000 alumni, its students, and university leaders.
Activities of our club are planned and organized by local alumni. Therefore, your ideas and your help are always welcome. Please contact the club’s leaders on the Club Leadership page to get involved or learn more and be sure to visit our Facebook page.
This page is an online bulletin board for local alumni to share information and ideas with each other. For example, if you are looking for a roommate, a new job, or new employee, or if you want to announce that a New Orleans band is coming to town, here's where to make your announcement.

The Albert H. “Sonny” Small, Jr. (A&S’79) Regional Challenge Grant for Tulane Alumni Residing in the DC, Virginia, Maryland Area
Tulane alumnus Albert H. “Sonny” Small, Jr. has announced a unique opportunity for alumni in the D.C., Virginia and Maryland area making a gift to the Tulane University Rebuilding Fund. Mr. Small will match all donations, dollar for dollar*, made to the Tulane University Rebuilding Fund from alumni donors in D.C., Virginia and Maryland and those who have not yet made a gift to the Tulane Rebuilding Fund - up to $500,000 total.
This Challenge allows these alumni to give to Tulane University knowing that the amount they give will be doubled, making the impact of their individual gifts even greater. The collective impact of new gifts from alumni and matching funds from this challenge grant will provide essential support for Tulane during its rebuilding process.
Donors from these areas need only make their gift to the Rebuilding Fund. Qualifying gifts will automatically be applied to the Albert H. “Sonny” Small, Jr. Challenge Grant.
