There are no events scheduled in your club city. If you have an idea for an event or would like to be involved please contact your club leadership.
Local Tulane Clubs operate in numerous cities around the United States and the world, offering social, educational, and cultural activities for area alumni. The clubs are constituent members of the Tulane Alumni Association.
Activities of the club are planned and organized by local alumni with the assistance of the Tulane Office of Alumni Affairs. Therefore, your ideas and your help are always welcome. The continued success of the club is dependent upon your involvement, so please contact the club president to get involved.
This page is an online bulletin board for local alumni to share information and ideas with each other. For example, if you are looking for a roommate, a new job, or new employee, or if you want to announce that a New Orleans band is coming to town, here's where to make your announcement.
Since this is a free service, commercial announcements will not be accepted. Please limit posting to 100 words.

Please join us on our 2nd annual Tulane Alumni boat trip to Masonboro island (near Wilmington).
The trip is on June 22, departing from the marina at 2pm, returning to the marina at 9pm. No cost, but bring your own food/beer. RSVP soon, limited availability.
Because of tide schedule and full moon this year, I suggest a leisurely later schedule
such as having people arrive about 2:00 PM, get to Masonboro Island by 3:00 PM,
eat supper on the island (everyone bring sub sandwiches or whatever they want to eat),
stay on island for sunset 8:30 PM, then boat ride back to dock at night under full moon.
HOSTS: Elizabeth Thompson (Tulane 1997) and Joe Davis (boat captain)
on Elizabeth/Joe’s motorboat (30 ft) named “Coastal Quest.”
If questions, email Elizabeth at ElizabethThompsonRD@yahoo.com
or call Elizabeth at 919-946-6774 or Joe’s cell phone at 919-637-3750.
WHAT: Boat ride (30 minutes) to Masonboro Island off Wrightsville Beach
which is about a 2 hour drive from Raleigh, so it’s an easy day-trip for
you to leave Raleigh around noon to arrive boat around 2:00 PM. After
boating to the island, we’ll stay on the island about 6 hours for fun on the beach,
eat supper (bring sub sandwiches or whatever you want), watch sunset 8:30 PM,
then moonlight (full moon that night) boat ride back to the dock by around 9:30 PM.
Masonboro Island is a popular island so other people will be there too.
It’s OK to drink beer on the island, so feel free to bring your favorite brew!
We can all enjoy more time together on the boat back at the marina, and nearby
are 4 waterfront restaurants (1 with live music we can hear while on boat at marina)
within a 5 minute walk of the boat, so for those who can stay later, we can
all walk to enjoy beverages and/or get more to eat at a nearby restaurant.
WHO: Space on our boat is limited to captain+mate (Joe & Elizabeth) plus
first 12 people who RSVP to Elizabeth at ElizabethThompsonRD@yahoo.com
Our organizers are already on the list
Elizabeth Thompson (Tulane 1997) & Joe Davis (captain)
Stephenie Durell & Evan (please email Elizabeth to confirm you can go June 22)
WHEN: Saturday June 22 the boat leaves dock at 2:00 PM (bring your supper).
Also, water taxi service available (details below) so you can go & return anytime.
We’ll stay for about 6 hours on the beach at the island and then load up at 8:30 PM
to go back to mainland arriving by around 9:30 PM back to dock at Airlie Marina. That
schedule is suggested because of tides and full moon per tide chart at bottom below.
We will still go even if it rains because we will all stay dry because the boat has
flexible plastic roll-down sides (called “curtains”) we can roll down to keep dry even if it rains.
WHERE: Boat leaves from Airlie Marina on the intracoastal waterway at
1406 Airlie Road, Wilmington, NC (use MapQuest or your GPS for directions).
PARKING: First unload your stuff at Airlie Marina, then park (no cost) your car
at Town Hall at 321 Causeway Drive, Wrightsville Beach, NC and carpool
or walk (about 15 minutes) to Airlie Marina at 1406 Airlie Rd (beside Fish House).
We can double-park one car at marina behind our car (has parking pass), so
one person can use their car to get people from Town Hall to Airlie Marina.
COST: No cost to ride on Joe/Elizabeth’s boat, but after that’s full, you can
pay for water taxi (phone #’s in details section below) take you to meet us on island.
Tell the water taxi to take you to Masonboro Island (pic at bottom below) and
look for a 30-ft motorboat named “Coastal Quest” written on both sides of boat.
(1) Everybody please bring flat-top coolers you can use as seat on boat and beach.
Suggest everyone wear flip-flops because the beach sand can be hot on a sunny day
especially during the 10 minute walk from boat across the island to the ocean side.
Please bring your own food, drinks, and beach stuff (towels, boogie boards, etc.). Also,
we have room for you to bring folding chairs that fold-up small into a cylinder shape
like shown at http://www.walmart.com/ip/The-Travel-Chair-C-Series/17457713
(2) We have adult size life preservers on the boat, but if you are bringing children,
please go to Walmart (or order online in advance) and buy the right size
life jacket because it must be worn the entire time a child under 13 is on the boat as
explained at www.ncwildlife.org/Boating/LawsSafety/ChildrenMustWearPFDs.aspx
Here are Walmart websites for where you can order infant and youth life jackets.
Infant ($14) www.walmart.com/ip/Stearns-Infant-Heads-Up-Life-Vest/13848719
Youth ($14) www.walmart.com/ip/Stearns-Youth-Nylon-Boating-Vest/13848762
(3) Just in case somebody decides to spend the night, here’s info about a
motel that is reasonably priced and nearby (5 minute walk to boat)
WaterWay Lodge http://www.waterwaylodge.com 800-677-3771
Elizabeth/Joe’s 30-ft motorboat "Coastal Quest" is at Wrightsville Beach in
Airlie Marina between Bridge Tender restaurant/bar and Dockside restaurant/bar.
Airlie Marina is directly beside a restaurant/bar that is called Fish House.
Boat is in second slip at far end (closest to water) on right side of dock at Airlie Marina.
Boat has white hull and blue canvas. Name "Coastal Quest" is on the side (not stern)
of the hull of the boat, so you can look for the boat name on the side of the boat.
After RSVPs fill up the boat (or if you are running late on Sat June 22 and miss our boat)
here are services that you can call to take you to Masonboro Island
via water taxi:
