EARLY BIRD — With the lights from the previous night still glowing, the school day begins for a student entering Jones Hall. Built in 1939, Joseph Merrick Jones Hall was the original site for the Howard-Tilton Memorial Library and currently houses the library’s Special Collections as well as the Department of Classical Studies .

View “Women, Art, and Social Change: The Newcomb Pottery Enterprise,” the largest exhibition of Newcomb arts and crafts in more than 30 years. The exhibit will be on display in the Newcomb Art Gallery through March 9, then it will go on a national tour co-sponsored by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service. The Newcomb Art Gallery and its programs are free and open to the public.
