TUCP Direction Presents: A Lecture By Laverne Cox "Ain't I A Woman"

In conjunction with the 2014 Tulane Black Arts Festival, TUCP Direction is proud to present a lecture "Ain't I A Woman?" by critically acclaimed actress, writer, producer, and transgender advocate Laverne Cox (Sophia Burset on Orange is the New Black). Cox is the first African-American trans woman to produce and star in her own television show, VH1's critically acclaimed TRANSform Me. TRANSform Me was nominated for a GLAAD media award for outstanding reality program in 2011 and was the first television show to start three transsexual women. 

 

Doors open at 7:30pm, Q&A to follow
